Identical as claiming that Jews “weaponize” the “tragic deaths” of Anne Frank and 1.5 million Jewish children in the Holocaust. These terror apologists are just as bad as those who slaughtered them.
I love Israel and pray every day for it to defeat Hamas and bring home the hostages.
That being said, why is Israel so bad at PR and propaganda? I've always assumed it was because Israel knows it's a moral, ethical democracy, with internal controls and checks and balances. It cannot, for the life of it, understand why it should even have to engage in these kinds of activities. But they are wrong.
It was hard to watch that video. It was like the Kennedy-Nixon debate. Mehti[sp?] had a better background, a better microphone, a better suit and a better accent. Jonathan did a poor job making his points. His sound was awful and he got pushed around.
As for a headline with a paywall, this is classic "anchoring bias" . You imply something with a question that absolves you from libel, and no one ever reads the article:
How Many Trips Did Bill Clinton Take to Epstine's Island?
See what I did there? Could be zero, but now you're thinking about it.
Israel needs to get its PR act together. It is definitely not winning the PR war. And that may prevent it from winning the actual war against Hamas.
Jonathan did a good job, he always does. He makes his points in a clear and composed manner. Israel desperately needs more Jonathans and the world needs to stop giving Mehdis a platform.
To answer your first question: They are outnumbered by the sheer quantity of... I'll call them "anti-Israel" people (but you know what I mean, or why they're so rabidly anti-Israel).
One can (I did) read the first few paragraphs of the Shehada article without subscribing (search for “zeteo” here on Substack) and these are sufficient to see the accusation that Israel cynically pretends that the Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas are still alive to maximise Israeli victimhood, “when everyone knows they’re dead”. This from a publication that claims to “seek[…] to answer the questions that really matter, while always striving for the truth”. The central question that really matters for me is how can Palestinians establish themselves as a credible negotiating partner to achieve piece when they support such a manipulative and cynical outlook which actively denies the hope for enduring human life. If I were mean, I’d say, “Well they don’t care because they’re happy when their kids are martyrs.”
The usual answer of the "pro-Palestinian" crowd (who are not pro-Palestinian but rather antisemitic) is "but what about children killed in Gaza"? The obvious response to it is that there is a difference between war casualties and deliberate atrocities, mass rape, and hostage taking. The fact that this difference is dismissed when it comes to the Jewish state but not when it comes to World War 2 tells you all you need to know about the radical left.
I like that you won't link to anti-semitic writers and websites, and won't pay to get past a paywall so you can review and then deconstruct lies about Israel, and/or about Jews, and/or about those who display Jew hatred. Your refusal to promote such dreck is commendable.

I guess they could stop giving us so much material to weaponize. But maybe they haven't thought that far ahead.
Another excellent article!

I'm just giving you my honest opinion. I've seen him before and thought he was ok, but he wasn't debating anyone.

Mehfi clearly made anti Semitic statements when he was on MSNBC

Yup. It's a war between two different value systems.

It tells you all you need to know about the poor teaching of history and civics.
Great post. Sharing.
