You might consider a reading list for the "As a Jew" crowd. Start with "People Love Dead Jews" by Dara Horn, "Ghosts of a Holy War" by Yardena Schwartz, and "Israel: A Simple Guide ..." by Noa Tishby. Add your favorites.

I wonder if he will ever realize the genocidal Jew-haters he’s enabling are laughing at him for helping them out.

Hilarious! You sure do have a knack for identifying these morons and shredding them. Also like your sense of humor, and patience. I would have more patience teaching a donkey to read than parse through this imbecile's rhetoric. Got a few laughs out of this particular essay.

He sold me 100 percent to his POV with the constant use of the adjectival intensifier "fucking." Felicity of expression always rules the day.

I pondered the use of Felicity as a word Smith pondering now it doesn't fit, definitionally it means fun or joy which doesn't apply to excessive cursing unless you're 11, context please

It’s amazing that a random guy from Indiana knows what’s “best” for Israel and the Gaza in the West Bank.

“As a Jew”, Sitting 10,000 miles away from Indiana I too know best how to remake Indiana

Please, enlighten us. I would love to hear your ideas for how to improve Indiana. Does it involve 2000 lb bombs?

The Anti-Zionist Ultra-Left in Israel is tiny and very fragmented. But it makes much noise, especially abroad, and is taken by unsuspecting Westerners as representing the entire opposition to Netanyahu's government. Which is *exactly* what Netanyahu wants: to paint any opposition to his rule as lunatics.

Yes, these Western "Leftist" Jews actually help the forces striving for eternal war and an increasingly authoritarian Israeli government. Which is incredibly ironic...

"You would RELATE to the Palestinians.”

Jew or not, this child is more than anything another of the West's narcissistic infants who need to SEE THEMSELVES on every shiny surface and always in the most self-flattering fashion: as heroic and compassionate avatars of Justice and Equality who always stand up for the downtrodden (even or especially if they know absolutely nothing about the peoples or conflict they're inserting themselves into).

Living in the richest safest country in history and never being told NO by mama and papa seems to create people who can't see farther than their own navel and who really seem to believe that others should risk their lives for the supposed ideals that these children have never even sacrificed a meal for.

Someone please tell this child that there were multiple peace plans and possible land exchanges offered over decades but all were rejected for the bloody fantasy that someday the Palestinians would be able to erase the Jewish state and kill every Jew there, even if they happen to be empathetic liberals just visiting from Indiana.

I think what this all boils down to is that spoiled Westerners have lost touch with the concept of consequences for actions and errors: the idea that the Palestinians launched multiple wars and lost them all and thus brought this upon themselves seems intolerable and inconceivable to them.

Multiple peace plans and land exchanges? He doesn't even know where Gaza actually is located. It would be too complicated for him.

"The 'Palestinian' people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.

In reality, today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a 'Palestinian people', since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose Zionism."

Zuheir Mohsen, PLO executive representative, to Dutch newspaper Trouw, 1977

Israeli Arabs comprise about 20% of the population. But they make up 30% of doctors and nearly 50% of the country’s pharmacists. What’s more, they get benefits Jewish Israelis don’t. For instance, military service is optional, not compulsory for them, so they can start their post-secondary education and their careers 3 years earlier than Jewish Israelis.
